welcome to .5
| .5 is about stripping the music away from the people and giving to the person... you... it's not the point to own it because everyone else does... the point is to listen to it, and love it for yourself... nothing more, nothing less. this is the music of the ups and downs of your life... whether or not you relate to every song is unimportnant, What is important, is that someday you will. Welcome to the soundtrack of your life. | |
| .5's debut demo The Other Half will likely include these tracks. It's Not Right - a song about how relationships can have their ups and downs, but ultimately love SHOULD prevail. You'll See - people often have misconceptions of themselves. This is an angry letter to them. Still - a suicide note written 40 years prior to the event. Soul Provider - a double meaning. A dedication to the only person that can truly define your being. In the Beginning - A less-than-spiritual journey. This list is subject to change depending on my mood.

Growing up on a farm in the midwest with an
above average IQ and below average ambition, was a boy with the fear of
loss. He feared losing the things that were important to him. He
feared losing his parents, his pets, his belongings, his home. All
these things he would some day lose. All these things he had accepted before
he reached adolescence. His plan was a simple one. Never would
he have to cope with the loss of all the things important to him.
Never would he have to lay his parents to rest. Never would he have to
throw away the forgotten objects of his childhood. All he needed was a
blunt object, a mixture of ammonia and bleach, a firearm (preferably a .22,
so that there would not likely be a exit wound.) He wanted to look
peaceful in his casket. He wanted to go with a smile. He wanted
people to say how handsome he was there, cold, bloodless, and hollow inside.
This was not a cry for help. This was his mission, it was the only way
to confront the inevitable. He knew no God, but knowing nothing is easier,
and it makes more sense. Why complicate the world with life? It
was so much easier to be in perpetual darkness...
It took a girl, to change this idea. It took a look, a smile, and a hug to guide this boy back to the "light" if you will. He was ready to cope with loss, because he finally had something worth losing. That boy was me. |
